On the 13th July to 5th of August 2009 CAPEC organizes summer holiday program known as "Hello Kids" for Children in Yaounde

CAPEC organized a three weeks holiday workshop for kids known as "Hello Kids" at Parc Kyrakides Yaoundé from the 13th July to 5th August 2009. The Hello Kids 2009 which is the 3rd Edition workshop aimed at making these children spend a wonderful holiday with the slogan; "Playing while Learning» came out with the following objectives which was largely met :

• Make children spend their holidays wisely by learning new skills and improving on already existing ones.
• Meet and Interact with friends, for intercultural and social exchange.
• Teaching subjects such as photography, crafts, films which are normally not taught in schools
• Creating relationship between/or among children to share experiences among them.
• Educate them on the role they can play in their own development.

The following activities were taught, creative arts, craft, computer studies, environmental education, basic French, English and Italian lessons. Recreational activities included various games, swimming, horse ridding. We also had two excursions at the Mefou National Park and Brasseries du Cameroon.
