CAPEC and its International volunteers organized a successful Christmas party for some orphanages in Yaoundé, namely Dan and Sara orphanage in Soa, Foundation Fact in Nouvelle Route Nkone, Orphelinat Le bon Berger in Nkoabang, and also supported the kids of Bitame Lucia Nursery and Primary School. The objective being to enable less privileged children and orphans, share in the joy and blessing of Christmas by giving them both financial and materials gifts. We intend to reach out to a total of 200 kids in some identified orphanages in Yaoundé that CAPEC has been working with in past years. With funds raised by our volunteers, Janosi-Mozes Emese (Hungary), Francesca Bruno (Italy), Veronica Rodil (Spain) and Adeline TOSCH (France) we were able to use the money to buy what the orphanages wanted such as food stuff, medication, education materials and toys. We spent the day with the kids, playing and singing with them. It was a day full of smiles as the project theme stipulated –Smiles to Orphans at Christmas.
